The herd instinct
On April 14, a 5.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in southern California. Fortunately, no personal injuries were reported, but at the San Diego Zoo they captured a very curious moment, which gives us an idea of the intelligence and solidarity of elephants, which are social animals that transmit information among themselves.
The elephants were doing their elephant things in the zoo, it seems that it has a large enclosure, the earthquake begins as you can see in the video, and the elephants have the ability to perceive sounds through their legs, so they picked up the tremors or earthquake quickly and formed a protection circle where the babies stayed in the center and the adults acted as a barrier on the outside of the circle, until the earthquake passed and then they returned to their elephant things.
