Change Of Name: What Do You Think?

I’m feeling some FTX nostalgia seeing that Huobi have to rebrand from Huobi global to HTX. Well, while I am about to write this post I realised that we are 2 months away from FTX one year collapse anniversary. This was a devastating moment for a lot of people as they lost their money due to the incident, ever since the incident, any company or initials ending with TX seems like traumatic trigger for anyone who experienced the FTX collapse. FTX used to be seen as one of the most trust worthy exchanges out there as they competed against the top exchanges like Binance and Coinbase. Being a crypto exchange which was just 3 years in the game before it collapsed it was a quite impressive exchange with a lot of positive reviews until the exchange collapsed.

Huobi has been quite a reliable exchange, can’t remember how long it has been in existence but I have been using it since 2019, rumour has it that Justin Sun owns the exchange but media blogs claim that the he has denied owning controlling ownership of the exchanges but just an investor. Well, the exchange is looking forward to rebranding it’s name from Huobi global to HTX, with H standing for Huobi, while T is standing of TRON and X standing for Exchange. After seeing these initials and seeing what they representing think it’s obvious now that Justin Sun actually owns huobi, what do you think? If Justin Sun doesn’t own a large ownership right why would they make TRON an integral part of the rebranding. Although while H stands for Huobi, T stands for TRON and X stands for exchanges, they also claim that HT can also stand for the Huobi native token HT and X for 10 years being that Huobi is celebrating 10 years anniversary.

Huobi hasn’t given any sign or feeling that they would be going illiquid anytime soon, as a matter of fact, most exchanges dont give such feeling until they actually go bankrupt, you just never know. But the change in Huobi from Huobit to HTX makes it look FTX, they could have chosen another name I guess, I wish the company all the best though, but lately I have removed all my money from centralised exchanges, for better safe keeping and rest of mind.
