If you're one of the people really really wanted to see Zack Snyder's Justice League cut, rejoice, for your wish will come true.

I didn't super love Batman v. Superman, but the first trailer for Justice League looked appropriately dark for the introduction of Darkside. But then Zack Snyder left after the tragedy that struck his family became too much. Or he was fired from the movie. It depends on which version of the story you believe.

WB decided to hire Joss Whedon of all people to finish the movie. Because they can't learn from Marvel's mistake. Joss Whedon did extensive reshoots and changed the tone of the movie significantly, in a way that just didn't work with the dark DC world. Obviously, just like with Age of Ultron, Whedon did nothing to benefit Justice League on promotion. The result was a mixed bag. Some cool action scenes, some terrible mustache removal CGI and one liners that didn't land. Fans looked to the first trailer pointing out the great promise that was missed and #releasethesnydercut was born.

Most of the cast of Justice League really supports this. Even when there was an aggressive day, I think it was in November where fans took over Twitter with #releasethesnydercut, most of the cast also uploaded cool images of them from the movie, that didn't make the theatrical cut.

Ever since HBO Max was announced it seems that Zack Snyder's Justice League was the main attraction. Then Friends unscripted reunion became the main attraction. But Coronavirus postponed that, as filming is simply not possible for now. Ever since the pandemic really became severe it seems that Zack Snyder's Justice League has been shifting gears as it seems that real talk behind the scenes were happening. Especially since the movie is mostly done.

Now two days ago Zack Snyder hosted a watch along party online for Man of Steel and even Henry Cavill skyped in for a bit. During that watch along Snyder announced that his cut of Justice League will officially air on HBO Max in 2021. He has a lot of VFX to do as the entire color palate of the movie needs to change, scenes that were cut out need to be put back in (I really want to see Superman in the black suit) and there might be filming of additional scenes for the movie. It might be released in 6 episodes of 30 minutes or about a four hour movie. I don't know which it will be.

Just remember when this was originally filmed, Justice League 2 was part of the plan and this version will probably end on a cliffhanger that is Darkside. We are unlikely to get the sequel as I don't think anyone is into it, behind or in front of the scenes.

The Snyder cut will now be officially called Zack Snyder's Justice League. It even has a new poster of its own. If you really want to see a sequel to this then you should watch it legally on HBO Max. I even might temporarily subscribe to watch it. I am curious to see the difference between the unimpressive theatrical cut and Snyder's vision.

How excited are you for Zack Snyder's Justice League?
