Mother’s Day is Everyday

I pray that when troubles come,
I'll be as super as my Mom.
I wish to not only remember her words,
But to be able to pass it on to my own.

I pray to have her calm and grace,
The way she speaks when she's mad,
So sharp and soft.
Her eyebrows raised to hold the well of tears.
Her hands refusing to tremble as her shoulders rest in distress.

I pray to have her strength and patience,
That time I broke the rules.
The time I got so reckless and fool.
The time I ran away from home,
And all the times I failed our home.

Lastly, I pray the she will be blessed with more
More love, strength and patience.
More energy, courage and understanding.
So she can keep on being the greatest light to our lives...
