A visit to passport office
Today, a lady whom I have known for the last few years and lives in our neighborhood asked me if I could accompany her to the passport office. I had nothing to do, so I thought, why not help her? I agreed.
We drove in her car at about 12 noon to the nearest passport office, a distance of about 45 km away from my house.
On the way, we sat for some time in a restaurant and drank tea. Then, from there, we captured some scenes of the market on our camera.
There was nothing special to do, so we just went and sat in the passport office. I was surprised to see a large gathering of people, even during the pandemic. It did not deter passport seekers.
I clicked a picture, but suddenly I heard a female screaming at me, "No photos". And then the guard told me that it was forbidden to take photos here, so I stopped.
Then my friend's name appeared on the digital board, and she went to complete the formalities. It didn't take long until she came back, and then we went out.
She asked me to join her for lunch, but I said it was too late, so we had some snacks at the canteen counter inside the office itself and came out.
But I took a picture of the office building before leaving the premises. I took some more pictures of the surrounding market, and by then it was dark. After all, in the winter season, the night falls early here.
Overall, I had a great day with some good experience of the passport office's working style. I am glad this experience became a post for the Wednesday Walk Community. Finally, walking in cold weather during the night time in this restaurant was an experience in itself.
Finally, we had our dinner in our own town at a small roadside eatery that was tasty and priced reasonably. And yes, the street food was not that bad.
Thanks to all for reading. All pictures captured today.
