I Love Jasmine

Hello everyone, how are you doing? I hope you are all in good health, because the weather has been unpredictable lately especially in my area. So it’s very important to keep our body healthy. To keep our body healthy, we have to increase our immune system. What do you usually do to strengthen your immune system? For me, the most important thing to strengthen my immune system is to be happy, no matter what. I’m happy when I listen to the music that I like, cooking, reading a book and taking care of my plants.

I have some plants in my small garden, such as some flowers, herbs and one mango tree. I can spend at least an hour with them, because it’s so much fun. It’s like I got a dopamine transfer from the plants. Currently I’m trying to grow jasmine flowers. I got these flowers from my mother’s house. I’ve wanted to grow jasmine for a long time, so I took some branches to plant at my house.

During my attempts to grow these flowers, I experienced several failures. Of the dozens of stems I planted, only two survived. I’ve followed the steps from social media, how to take care of the stems, how to water them and how much sunlight they need.

After almost two months, the stems finally sprouted. It didn't take long for the flowers to grow. I'm so happy to see the flower buds. I can't wait for this jasmine to bloom. I really love the scent of jasmine flowers. In my country, jasmine is one of three national flowers (Puspa Nasional), known as Puspa Bangsa. The other two are the moon orchid as flower of charm (Puspa Pesona), and the Rafflesia arnoldii as flower of rarity (Puspa Langka).

In my country, jasmine symbolizes purity. Therefore, it's often used as a bridal hair decoration in Indonesia. I also wore this flower as a hairpiece at my wedding.
