[ENG-ESP] What is the Master Tempo function? / Que es la función Master Tempo?

The Master Tempo function of both DJ software and CDJs allows you to manipulate the pitch up and down while maintaining the note of the song. Whenever you lower the pitch the notes will sound lower and as you raise the pitch they will be higher. This is what used to happen on the old vinyl recorders.

La función Master Tempo que tienen tanto los software para DJ como las CDJ nos permite manipular el pitch hacia abajo y hacia arriba manteniendo la nota de la canción. Siempre que bajes el pitch las notas van a sonar mas graves y mientras los subas van a estar mas agudas. Esto es lo que sucedía en los antiguos soportes de vinilo.

Fortunately or not, with the digitization of music we are allowed to manipulate it in a different way. With the Master Tempo function you can avoid that pitch difference with respect to the original song. This will allow you to move the pitch up and down modifying only the speed of the track and not the pitch.

Afortunadamente o no, con la digitalización de la música se nos permite manipularla de otra manera. Con la función Master Tempo puedes evitar esa diferencia de tono con respecto a la canción original. Esto te va a permitir mover el pitch arriba y abajo modificando solo la velocidad del Track y no la tonalidad.

If you like to experiment and create new experiences in your sets you can have the Master Tempo off and use the Cue in different Pitch positions. If you do this to the beat of the music you can create incredible sounds and melodies.

Si te gusta experimentar y crear nuevas experiencias en tus sets puedes tener el Master Tempo desactivado y utilizar el Cue en diferentes posiciones de Pitch. Si lo haces a ritmo de la música puedes crear sonoridades y melodías increíbles.
