Micah has his own pair

Good morning everyone, hope this finds you well. We're good here. As you can see Micah has a brand new pair of headphones for school.

When he arrived at class yesterday, 2 of his speech and occupational teachers came and pulled him from class and gave him his own pair of headphones. When they first put them on him, he didn't like them and kept taking them off. They worked with him on putting them on and going into the bathroom. They helped!! He was able to wear his underwear all day and go potty when everyone else went.

Apparently he really likes them.. As he wears them in class too.🤷
His teacher did inform me that he knows they're his and won't let the other children get them. Anyways, I was impressed at the speed in which everything happened. It went from a couple of text the evening before to be headphones the next morning. 🤗

Ok, this picture broke my heart.🥺 This is at recess.. He sits and watches the other kids play. Last night, I asked him why he didn't go slide but he didn't have any reply. So I told him he should just go play. He didn't have to play with the others but to go ahead and slide. He loves to slide and that picture of him just sitting there not playing about did me in😞

But these last 2 pics made me feel better. He loves to run and he does it very well. He was having fun here racing, although I'm not sure he knew he was racing. He loves to walk and run the driveway. So this was right up his alley. Notice, even though he's in the gym he's not wearing his headphone. I'd think that's loud and noisy but it doesn't seem to bother him

Anyways, today's day 5 since Micah's started school. I'm sure everything will work out. I'm impressed with the quickness they try to meet his needs. And I'm thankful they care. It's hard for me to send him up there.. But Micah and Mimi going to be ok. The good Lord is in control🙌🙏❤️
