Does it matter whether Bitcoin creator Satoshi is anonymous?

There is an interesting piece of news where UK court asked "Cøbra" (pseudonymous name of Bitcoin.Org domain administrator whose real identity is also unknown to give up on his anonymity to fight $700K Legal Fees slapped on him/her/whatsoever. Ironically this legl fees is demanded by "Craig Wright", self proclaimed Satoshi, spearheaded the forking of the Bitcoin for Bitcoin SV (I remember it was forked from Bitcoin cash, one of the forks of bitcoin). In Bitcoin circles, Craig Wright is also known as "Faketoshi" as people refer to his claim as fake, an attempt to grab the limelight.

Leaving the case and the claim of Satoshi, there is something interesting about Satoshi's Bitcoin wallets. It is estimated that Satoshi owns 1.1 million Bitcoins, currently their value is around 29 Billion Dollars and it is more than 5% of the maxed capped supply of the bitcoin of 21 million. Satoshi used to be an active participant in discussions in the initial days of Bitcoin. When Satoshi became inactive, there was also no movement of coins from these wallets. Bitcoin Decentralized trust is the greatest USP of the network but on the other hand, these 1.1 million coins remain untouched even at the all-time high of the Bitcoin markets.

I always keep wondering about the motivation of Satoshi in creating Bitcoin, does not look financial as someone not even looking at coins worth billions of Dollars. But as long as the wallets and coins are there, we will not be sure if these coins will be accessed in the future or not.

For most of the Bitcoin community, Satoshi's wallets are not of any concern, and network security is determined by the PoW concept. It is the secure network and decentralized trust that give value to the chain and Bitcoins instead of how much Bitcoin someone owns.

But if anyone is wondering "how rich" $29 billion USD is?
Then according to Forbes Richlist, you will be in the top 100 richest people in the world with your ranking lying around 50.

So, yes Satoshi is a damn rich person.
