My Actifit Report Card: May 12 2019 — The Universe Must Just Hate Me. There Is No Other Explanation.

today the universe decided to flip me off and give me a flat tire.

this was a shocker to me because i definitely never drive my car on steep rough rocky mountain roads where flat tires might reasonably be expected. the universe must just hate me. there is no other explanation.

so anyhow, there i was minding my own business driving up a steep rough rocky mountain road i really had no business driving up when pow, there goes my back driver side tire, punched through by a big sharp rock i thought i’d be able to clear. unfortunately i did not clear it.

fortunately, though, i always travel with a spare tire and believe it or not, i also know how to change a tire, so after driving up for a few more minutes until the road leveled out, i pulled up into the shade of a stand of evergreens next to a scattering of sunbleached elk bones and changed my tire.

long story short, i didn’t get as many steps today as i was planning, and it is all the universe’s fault.
