The Friend

Day 4/5 of the Plant Stories drawing challenge. The prompt is about the friend. Now that the plant character Kumieo is settled it is time to create her friend. I almost forgot to post this entry but here it is. Meet the new friend I call him Tovo.

Tovo is a blue rat from the neighborhood he is street smart knows every shortcut, and which stores has the best day-old buns in the hood. He talks fast always got an exaggerated story but you will believe it most of the time. He teases Kumieo constantly, but if anyone messes with her, Tovo shows his sharp little yellowish teeth. Believes he is famous in the neighborhood and he acts like a local legend. Not mention his inflated ego.

Tovo keeps Kumieo from zoning out. He perches on the edge of her bench or trash can and gives commentary on the people or creatures waiting for the bus just to cheer her up. Together, they make a good pair.
