Data Shows the ‘Cheaper Altcoins Make Higher Returns’ Myth Is Flawed

Hey.. it is only myth.

While it is possible to find strategies to optimize returns using cheap altcoins during the altcoin season, this arbitrary metric alone does not yield higher returns than the broad altcoin market.

Only 7 of the 41 low-priced coins exceed the broad altcoin market capitalization.

On average, 40% of the low-priced coins complete the 15-day period more than 10% behind altcoin market capitalization gains.

For some reason investors decided to increase their exposure to altcoin, and BTC's advantage fell by 3.5%. This could be a technical adjustment as BTC's dominance increased to 73%, reaching its highest level since July 2017.

Investors tend to avoid risk to altcoins as Bitcoin loses significant support levels or tends to be bearish, increasing BTC's advantage.
