Flying ants invade Britain

I'm not a big fan of ants especially cause I like planting. I have found an army of them swarming some of my plants and taking bites out of leaves. I try to protect my mint, lemon balm and other plants. They killed my Italian parsley which made me mad. Anyway, this is crazy. I've never heard of this happening. To have so many ants in one place able to be seen from space is pretty amazing. Ants are amazing creatures when you really think about it. We are much smarter but, there are more of them than there are of us and they are very good at working together. How they have been able to thrive the way they do is quite an accomplishment.
