Ultima GTR
A quick look round an Ultima GTR, taking approximately 60 seconds or so.
Designed by Lee Noble and manufactured by Ultima Sports Ltd of Hinckley, Leicestershire, England the GTR has a space frame chassis, GRP bodywork and is powered by a mid-mounted V8.
Ultima built a record breaking version of the GTR with 720 bhp using an American Speed Chevy V8, called the GTR 720.
This gave the car a 0 to 60 time of 2.6 seconds, and a ¼ mile time of 9.9 seconds at 143 mph. The car currently holds the record for completing the Top Gear test track at 1 minute and 12.8 seconds.
The most powerful know Ultima would be the Falcon SBC-TT1750, with 1,716 bhp, built by Black Falcon Cars.
If you are the owner, or even if you know anything about this car, please feel free to drop a comment and offer up some details. I’d love to know more about it.
