Back in the Saddle

I missed #tendollartuesday recently, but I'm back in the saddle now.

Its not like I wanted to miss out on buying crypto. I had a good excuse. See, I was on a fishing trip with my dad and I hit a rock with my Honda Accord. The oil pan broke wide open. Not good!

The worst part was that I was way back in the mountains with no phone service and no hope of a quick rescue. It took me all afternoon to hike over the top of the mountain to a decent road where I could hitch a ride into town to find a tow truck.

I had to leave the car in Pennsylvania and rent a car to drive back to Virginia. Lucky for me, the towing company was really great. They found a nearby garage to get a new oil pan installed and I rented another car to drive back up there to retrieve my car.

It all worked out okay in the end, but I need to be alot more careful about the roads I take my car on.
