Building a WiFi remote-control switch box (အင်္ဂလိပ် မြန်မာ နှစ်ဘာသာ)

One month ago, I built a WiFi controllable socket plug for controlling the pressure pump from my home and wrote about it in the following post.

Yesterday, I built a WiFi box for my mom so that she can switch on the pressure pump when she wants to. Actually, she can switch it on with her phone but she is not used to using the app and she needs to turn off VPN for using the app (in Myanmar, we cannot access social media sites without using a VPN ). Because there are some water leakage at my home plumbing system, the pressure pump switches on unnecessarily if switched on all the time (The leakages are from iron pipes so it is difficult to fix them). So, I decided to build one for my mom.

First, I bought two lithium iron batteries and recharged them first.

Then, I flashed Esp8266 microcontroller using Tasmotizer with Tasmota firmware. Because the output voltage from the two Lithium-ion batteries is over 8 V, I use a regulator to step it down to 5 V. I used a button switch and an LED for status light and the circuit connection is as follow.

Then, I configured the firmware by putting the two buttons (motor pump button and the remote control button) under the same group topic at the consoles. By doing so, I just synced the two switches. Now, my mom can use this WiFi switch to remotely switch on the pressure pump when she needs.

အားလုံးပဲ မင်္ဂလာပါ။

ကျွန်တော် မနေ့က အဝေးက နေ ရေမော်တာ ဖွင့်ပိတ်ဖို့ WiFi ခလုတ်လေး ဆောက်ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ကြိုးမဲ့သုံးမှာမို့ Lithium-ion batteries နှစ်လုံးသုံးထားပါတယ်။ ပြီးတော့ ဒီဘက်ထရီ နှစ်လုံးကနေထွက်တဲ့ ဗို့အားကို လျှော့ချဖို့ 5V regulator တစ်လုံး၊ ESP8266 microntroller တစ်လုံး သုံးထားပါတယ်။ အောက်မှာ မြင်ရတဲ့ အတိုင်းပါပဲ။

Firmware ကိုတော့ Tasmota firmware ကို အသုံးပြုထားပြီး မော်တာခလုတ်နဲ့ အခု ဆောက်တဲ့ ခလုတ်နှစ်ခုကို console မှာ အုပ်စုတစ်စုထဲ ထည့်ပါတယ်။ အဲဒီနောက်မှာတော့ အိမ်က Wifi range ရှိတဲ့ ဘယ်နေရာကမဆို ဒီဗူးခလုတ်လေးနဲ့ မော်တာကို အဖွင့် အပိတ်လုတ်လို့ရပါပြီ။ အမှန်တော့ ဖုန်း app ကနေလဲ control လုပ်လို့ရပေမယ့်၊ ဒီapp သုံးဖို့ VPN ပိတ် ပိတ်နေရတာကြောင့် အမေသုံးဖို့ အဆင်ပြေအောင် ဒီခလုတ်လေး ဆောက်ဖြစ်တာပါ။
