HiveTorch and Happy First Birthday Hive.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for stopping by this post. I just wanted to say happy birthday to Hive, our wonderful blockchain is now one year old. Better days are ahead and we will definitely
see significant growth and improvement in the coming years.

In this post I also wanted to tell you about the #hivetorch initiative hosted by @stayoutoftherz .

The Hivetorch is a social experiment to demonstrate the speed and trust in transferring value on the Hive chain. The idea is that someone sends you a number of Hive to
your wallet, and you transfer it as fast as possible to someone trustful who
will be then the next Hivetorch keeper.

So yesterday our favorite fitness trainer @wil.metcalfe from Canada trusted me enough to hand me the hive torch by depositing 505 Hive into my wallet. He had earlier received
353 Hive from @hafiz34 the previous torch holder. In honor of Hive’s birthday he made it 505, which is awesome and really generous.

Now my task was to pass the torch to another trustable user. I did pass it to my friend @joetunex in South Africa. Who later passed it on to @monica-ene in Nigeria.

As you can see it is a fun way to interact and build trust in our Hive community. I am grateful to Wil
for choosing me and I look forward see how far we can go with this. Let’s keep the Hive torch burning bright.
