a cursed quest

yesterday's results:
"Did you just curse me?!"

You stare at the witch, who's now wiping the blood off her nails onto her robes, with a mixed expression of both anger and confusion. You frustratingly ask her if she just placed a curse on you.

She stares at you with a smirk and responds:
"Well... Yes, of course. It sounded like a curse, no?
Fear not, traveler, for your quest is rather easy. Retrieve the gem, bring it to me, and I shall lift the curse."

Turning away from you to, she adds one more thing:
"Oh, and I was kind enough to leave you with quite the inspiration to complete this quest. If I do not have receive this gem, you will die. How can you get more motivated than that."

The witch cackles out a demonic laugh as she disappears into the woods, vanishing along with the silhouettes of the other sisters that stood behind her.

Taking a look behind you, the rope bridge has been reconstructed and is fully intact.
