Tasting Menu - Desserts

Good Afternoon,

Here we are, the finale of the tasting menu. There are two desserts I had the pleasure of eating. Here they are.

The first dessert was a chocolate number served with what I believe was a milk ice cream on a biscuit crumb. From memory I think this was meant to be based on a chocolate cheesecake. I could be wrong. But one things for sure... you can't go wrong with a chocolate dessert. I think this had some sort of nuttiness and caramel going on too. Well it has been over two weeks since I had this. I know I would have gone back for seconds, it was soooo good!

Lastly was this mango sorbet number with meringue kisses, jelly and fresh mango. I remember the kisses being crunchy and sweet but not too sweet. The sorbet was very refreshing and I loved the fresh cubes of fruit in the bottom. I think there was a cream / custard under everything too. This was a lovely dessert to end the evening with.

Well, what a taste sensation this menu was. Things I would never have chosen off a menu, and some surprising dishes that I thought I wouldn't like, yet became one of my favourites. I'm really pleased I booked this. Now I have to wait for a next guest chef evening. I love this restaurant. Hopefully there will be another special tasting menu coming soon.
