Tasting Menu - Bread and Starter

Hello Food Friends,

I promised I would post some more pics of the tasting menu I went to recently, and now I have a bit of time, I can share these extraordinary dishes with you.

This is the restaurant's signature Marmite bread with Wasabi butter. I know with Marmite, you either love it or hate it. I personally love it. This bread has the most beautiful glaze with the fluffiest bread on the inside. It's served warm. The Wasabi butter is very smooth and not too strong. It works really well with the Marmite bread and I love the way the butter melts into it. Mmm!

This was the soup of the day. It was over two weeks ago and I can't remember exactly what flavour it was. I believe it was cheese and had caramelised onions in the bottom. I can't even remember what I had for dinner last night so this was a hard one to remember. All I know was that it was so tasty and I really had to slow myself down. It was really nice to have the bread on the side with this dish too.

I really love a tasting menu because you get to have so many different types of food and pairings that I would never have had before.
