ATR is a French-Italian aircraft manufacturer of turboprops. ATR already sold 1,500 aircraft, since 1981. They have two types. The ATR 42 has 50-seats and the ATR 72 has 70 seats.
Mönchengladbach (MGL) is a small airport, with a maintenance, repair and overhaul facility of Rheinland Air Service (RAS). Every year I make a stop there, for some nice pictures. All 5 pictures are made at MGL.
UR-UTE UTair -ATR 42 Since May 13 2014 you can see this one at MGL. Age: 31 years. Because its age and her long stay, I think this one will be for spare parts and will never fly again.
2-GJSA -ATR 42 Here you can see two close up pictures of a ATR 42. The 2- prefix (registration) is from Guernsey and mostly used temporary.

F-GVZZ ex-Air France -ATR 42 This picture is made in 2014. Several parts (engines, nose, tail rudder) are already removed. The aircraft is nowadays broken up.
