Purple Spectre
More from the final day of the Tucson Jazz Festival.... Purple Spectre! When we heard the name announced we had to check them out of course, and what a beautiful day to listen to some jazz. It is cold in New Mexico, and all blizzards it seems back east, but it is like a lovely spring day in southern Arizona! No wonder so many snowbirds flock down to these arts every winter. Unfortunately my phone was low on memory, so the video cut out right as the trumpet solo started... but it was damn good! Please forgive the all the shaking at first, I finally settle down about 40 seconds in. Mike Moynihan on sax leads this group, which is a local Tucson favorite.
