Garri and White Soup
I felt very hungry this morning and decided to branch a restaurant where I went to eat this delicious garri, popularly known as eba with a soup that is called white soup.
When I went to the restaurant, I was informed that the food was not yet ready, but I insisted on sitting down and waiting for the food to be ready.
I sat down and waited patiently for the food, only for the seller to come out and inform me and other customers that were there, that the food will be ready in 10 minutes.
I waited patiently for 10 minutes until it was 15 minutes and he food did not arrive, only for the food to arrive at 20 minutes later.
By this time, I was already very hungry and famished, I consumed part of the food before I could even realize that I had not yet taken a photo of the complete food.
It was after I had eaten the food to some extent that I remembered to take some photos. Some may wonder what type of food is this and how it is being eaten.
This garri also known as eba is made out of cassava flakes, we use boiled water to make it mouldable.
How to eat the food; garri is being moulded one after the other into small balls suitable for the throat, and soaked inside the soup just like the picture below and then swallowed sweetly.
This is one of my favorite meals and one day, I will write on the processes of this particular meal preparation.
Later in the evening, I ate jollof rice and beans mixed together. This food is being cooked with our local palm oil and it is very delicious.
The food was remaining very small so, I took the remaining from the pot and ate.
The remaining food in the pot is the picture below. I will be sharing most of my local foods here and the processes of preparation.
