I had a dream about cupcakes

I don't recall much but I woke up uncertain. You know how you look forward to something delicious, moist, sweet. That hankering you get for just a bite.

Now I can tell you that this cupcake was definitely like that. I recall reaching out for it, I could already taste it. Then a spider came around the edge and traipsed all through my delicious blue frosting, leaving tiny little spiteful spider prints and raised its two front legs up, challenging me.

Then I froze a bit, and then I decided. I took my shoe and I smacked the spider, squished it right into the cupcake and smushed them both into the table.

That is when I woke up from the dream, and in that moment uncertainty spread, a sad realisation that I only destroyed the thing I wanted because I was uncertain what type of spider it was.

If I knew, then I would have saved it and saved my hopes but I was afraid.
