School life and experiences

Greetings, learners!

Welcome to a new month, a month of victory, and the willingness to learn and participate in every contest of this week.

I see school as a place of learning from teachers who have gone ahead of us in some knowledge areas, impacting us with the knowledge we didn't have.

Education is very good for young people in Nigeria, where our children and young needs to enroll in it for exposure and other opportunities. During our time, we found it so beautiful and exciting to be in the four walls of the university; some of us turned it into prayer points that you want to go to school, you fasted and prayed just for admission to be granted, and it was granted at the appointed time and season.

You went into it, and everything in you, blinking like a shining star student. Settling down as a student, you start to experience the stress of school, lecturers' frustration with students, meeting with different people, good or bad, and every other experience. It might be that some lessons taught don't have life application at all; they are based on people's perception and theory about things without getting to the root of it or applying a solution to it. You see, at the end of the school as a graduate with your certificate, with the hope of getting a job, but to no avail. You will apply from one place to another for Job opportunities, but you are turned down.

Many graduates today, are business owners, doing so well and living a comfortable life as it pleases them with their certificate.

Today, jobs are given through a known person in the state government, who can pay a particular amount to get the job, while others have to suffer to go to school and come out without any job granted.

However, if I have the opportunity of entering into the system of education, there are systems I will change about education. Those stories or laws, will no longer be shared. But learning with the students' abilities and strengths with hands-on experiences will be made available in their classrooms, and after years of learning these things, they will come out to be the better version of themselves, building their visions and becoming great men and women.

In all this, I never regretted going to school; I have seen where education has brought me now. I have seen the benefits of going to school in my life. Because of education, I have gone to places, and I have entered places, meeting with the right people, building good relationships, and having good conversations.
