Same but Different #2: Post boxes of the Czech Post

This is my entry for photo challenge "Same But Different: Round #2 - Mailboxes!"

@hive-174812/same-but-different-round-2

When I saw the challenge for this round, I thought it might not be as straightforward as it seemed. I know there used to be plenty of post boxes, but if I had to recall right now where the nearest one to my home is located, I'd probably draw a blank. I'm not sure how it is where you live, but I haven't sent a paper letter in nearly a quarter of a century.

When I was looking for the nearest post box, I had to rely on the internet for help. On the website schranky.nastojte.cz, there's a map that shows all the postal service post boxes of the Czech Post. I was pretty surprised to find out that there are still quite a lot of them.

Besides the outgoing mailboxes, which are orange, there are also incoming mailboxes. The larger ones, shown in the next photo, are used by some businesses. In another photo, there are delivery mailboxes used for houses in remote areas, up in the mountains and such. These have their mailboxes located somewhere accessible along the road.

And then there are the standard residential mailboxes for incoming mail. They come in various designs, reflecting each owner's personal taste. Here's at least one representative example:

So, that's all I have to say about post boxes or mailboxes. Looking forward to the next round of #samebutdifferent.
