Just another getaway

Finally, first dives of the year!

Weather in Portugal seems to be coming to its senses, and the sun is shining stronger. Pair it to a well placed holiday before a free weekend, and a quick getaway to my favorite beach destination in the country, and there you go: bliss.

It has been almost 2 years since I came to this place, and it's great to see most of it remains unchanged. The beaches are still beautiful and mostly unoccupied, the food is still wonderfull, and the prices are still somewhat decent. The sea? Rough, as usual.

You can bathe easily, but swimming a bit more complicated 99% of the time. Which is something I can perfectly get along with, exchanging quiet waters for a more wild landscape and less crowds!

There's no shortage of beaches to choose from here. The hard part is actually to choose which one are you going to visit. Best way to tackle it, is to do what I am doing, and beach hop! Get up. Have breakfast, hit the beach, have lunch, hit a different beach: rinse and repeat.

To add to the joy, after 6 years I finally treated myself and got a new phone, with an awesome camera! So I'm also having fun snapping pictures everywhere. They look awesome in the screen, but I am curious to see how much of a difference will I notice on a bigger screen.

Still, with 50 mp vs my old 12 mp, better optics and better software, chances of getting better results are bigger for sure.

Either way, I'll be having fun these days. It will be shorter than what I wanted, but still plenty of time to enjoy and relax. Heck, I even have time to post again in this chaotic month (that will likely continue so until July comes)!

Gotta make the most of the time when we can, it's the only way 😉.
