Could blockchain technology prove that time travel is possible?

The first thing that popped up in my mind when I saw this was, how do they correlate. And that's what on my mind till now.
Blockchain doesn't seem like one of those utterly futuristic technologies we keep reading about like FLT, molecular rearrangement and stuff like that.
Yes blockchain is something we haven't tapped into its potential to any reasonable level, but please, time travel sounds like tech on an entirely different level.
