A Formidable Feast
At my age and current disposition what else would I spend $1,000 on than a formidable feast fit for a king!?! I scoured online sources for pricing and volumes for me to spend exactly $1,000 on a meal that would be worthy of my gregarious appetites! I have curated a menu of the finest ingredients to ensure a nirvana of culinary delight!
Most meals can be defined early on by the quality and attention given to the appetizers and that is true even of our delightful dining experience. Two 14oz Iberico Secreto Shoulders will run you $100 and once these pinnacle of pork cuts are expertly seared and thinly sliced they will melt in your mouth with the accompaniment of 1/2 lb of medium slices of Extra Old Bitto Cheese costing $75. The blending of the fats and salts from both of these elegant starters would be enough to satiate mere mortals but we are the quest of that epitome of a formidable feast and so with hearty hearts and appetites we forge forward!
We now move on to the main course of a 4 1/2 lbs American Wagyu Tomahawk Ribeye, priced at a value at $310, that is at the exact room temperature before the reverse sear process. We take a tablespoon of our 1lb of Diane St. Clair's Animal Farm Butter, $50, and set the rest aside for our steak topping. The tablespoon of butter is melted in a skillet and $140 worth of black truffles, approximately 2oz, is delicately shaved into the butter with various seasonings we have on hand (no cost there..lolol) as we sear each side of our monstrosity of a steak and ladle the melted butter over the top until a deep brown bark is achieved before finishing in the oven.
The rest of the butter is combined with 3.5oz of Siberian Sturgeon Caviar, $325, by gentle folding the caviar into the butter and topping our finished and rested steak with it. Perfection! $1,000!
