Arte Geométrico (🇪🇸 | 🇺🇸)

Hey beautiful people of #HiveDIY! I meant to share this drawing with you yesterday, but I had some unexpected issues with the electricity where I live (aka, the power went out!), so I couldn't post anything. But better late than never, right? So come along and let's check out the step-by-step process for this visual art.

The first thing I do is find the center of the page to position my drawing where it needs to be.

Next, I wanted to start differently. Since my final drawing has guide lines in the shape of a cross (+) and an 'X', I decided to begin with the cross (+) lines first. Each line is 12 squares long, but I don't have the actual measurement.

With the cross centered, I then proceeded to create the borders of what would be my main image.

Then I drew the 'X', from corner to corner.

And I also added a small diamond in the center, with each point measuring 2 squares.

After that, I just outlined everything in black to start giving the drawing shape.

Once I had the figure outlined in black, I started creating a kind of arrow-like pattern. I made these arrow points on all the lines that form the cross (+).

For the lines that make up the 'X', you could say I did the same thing but in reverse. Instead of the arrow points facing outwards, they point inwards.

Alright, the next step is to connect the points of the arrows using vertical and horizontal lines. As you can see, I only connected the edges of the arrowheads, not their tips, which creates a kind of triangle or, more accurately, a triangular effect between the lines.

I repeated this same step for each corner. Remember to stay focused when doing these types of drawings; it's essential because any mistake would be noticeable.

Once you have the image ready as shown before, all that's left is to start coloring with black or your preferred color. I began by skipping a line, then alternating the next row. You can see this step more clearly in the following images:

The same pattern is followed, skipping a line and alternating the black in each row. Steps 7 and 8 are shown below:

As you know, I don't like to leave blank spaces in these types of drawings. So, the next thing I did was pencil in the exterior patterns to complete the drawing, resulting in the following:

When it came to coloring the top and bottom sections, I made a mistake with the pattern and wasn't consistent. It is what it is, and I'm not going to complain. For these sections, I used black and dark blue, and it turned out like this:

Right at this point, the power went out to me. As you can see, I wanted to alternate between black and blue to continue a certain pattern. The top part turned out fine, but the bottom didn't.

For the side figures, I wanted to make 3x3 grid squares and a larger square that would act as a border. In the middle, I drew an 'X', and this was the result; I did this on both sides, which looked like this:

Now, all that was left was to color in these side patterns. For this, I wanted to use different colors, but I started with black, as it's the foundation of my drawing.

As you can see, I colored the small upper triangle and the bottom line of that box black. I did this for all of them except the third one, where I made a mistake. Afterwards, I created a shading effect on the left-hand line and the triangle that overlaps it.

Since it looked a bit stark with just black and white, I decided to add some color. So, I started with the center, using two shades of pink—one light and one dark.

For the sides, I used sky blue, light green, and red. The final result, mixing all the colors, is as follows:

So, what do you all think of the final result? I love it; I think it looks so much better with those colorful touches than just in black and white. Este dibujo se los debí haber compartido ayer pero por motivos ajenos a mi voluntad e inconvenientes eléctricos donde vivo, (es decir, la luz se fue), no pude compartir nada ayer. Pero mejor tarde que nunca ¿cierto? así que acompáñenme a conocer el paso a paso de este arte visual.

  Lo primero que hago es ubicar el centro de la hoja para ubicar mi dibujo donde debe ir.

  Luego quise empezar diferente. Ya que mi dibujo final tiene líneas guías en forma de Cruz (+) y en forma de Equis (X), decidí empezar con las líneas en forma de + primero. Cada línea tiene un largo de 12 cuadrículas y la medida como tal no la tengo.

  Al tener la Cruz en el centro me dispuse a hacer los bordes de lo que sería mi imagen principal.

  Luego hice la X, de esquina a esquina.

  Y también agregué un pequeño rombo en el centro, cuyas medidas fueron 2 cuadrículas por cada punta.

  Ya después sólo lo resalté todo en negro para empezarle a dar forma al dibujo.

  Al tener la figura delineada en negro, empecé haciendo una especie de líneas que se pueden asemejar a las puntas de una flecha. Tales puntas de flechas las hice en todas las líneas que forman la Cruz (+).

  Para las líneas que forman la Equis (X), se podría decir que hice lo mismo pero de manera inversa, es decir, en vez de que las puntas de las flechas apuntaran para afuera, apuntan hacia adentro.

  Bien, el siguiente paso es unir las puntas de las flechas, haciendo líneas verticales y horizontales. Como pueden ver, uno sólo las aristas de las flechas, no sus puntas, dejando como una especie de triángulo o mejor dicho un efecto triangular entre las líneas.

  Hice este mismo paso con cada esquina. Recuerden estar concentrados al hacer este tipo de dibujos, es muy importante, ya que cualquier error se notaría.

  Al tener la imagen lista como la anterior, sólo resta empezar a colorear con negro o el color que más te guste. Yo empecé dejando una línea de por medio y luego intercalé el siguiente renglón. Pueden notar mejor este paso en las siguientes imágenes:

  Se sigue el mismo patrón, dejando una línea de por medio e intercalando el negro en cada renglón. El paso 7 y 8 se los muestro a continuación:

  Como bien saben, no me gusta dejar espacios en blanco en este tipo de dibujos que hago. Así que lo siguiente que hice fue dibujar a lápiz los patrones exteriores para completar el dibujo, quedando de la siguiente manera:

  Al momento de colorear la parte superior e inferior me equivoqué en el patrón y no fui constante. Igual quedó como quedó y no me voy a quejar. Para estos lados usé el color negro y azul oscuro, quedando de la siguiente forma:

  Justo en esta parte se me fue la luz. Como ven quise intercalar negro-azul para continuar una especie de patrón. La parte de arriba me quedó bien, pero la de abajo no.

  Para las figuras laterales, quise hacer cuadros de 3x3 cuadrículas y un cuadro más grande que hiciera las veces de borde. Al medio le hice una X y este fue el resultado, hice así en ambos lados, quedando lo siguiente:

  Ahora sólo quedaba colorear estos patrones laterales. Para ello quise usar colores diferentes pero inicié con el negro, ya que es la base de mi dibujo como tal.

  Como pueden ver, dibujé el triángulo superior pequeño y la línea inferior de ese recuadro de color negro. Hice así en todos, menos el tercero porque me equivoqué. Ya después hice una especie de sombreado en la línea de la izquierda y el triángulo que se sobrepone a esta.

  Como se veía muy blanco con negro, quise echarle color. Así que empecé con el centro usando 2 tonos de rosados, uno claro y el otro oscuro.

  Para los lados, usé los colores Azul cielo, Verde Claro, y un Rojo. El resultado final mezclando todos los colores es el siguiente:

  ¿Qué les parece cómo quedó? A mí me gustó, pienso que se ve mejor con esos toques coloridos que sólo en blanco y negro. Por cierto, ya me toca comprarme marcadores negros nuevamente. Bueno déjenme saber en los comentarios qué opinan? Los estaré leyendo! Hasta mi siguiente post! 💚
