Is this true about steemit?
I have read the article about steemit that terms it as Ponzi Scheme. Let me know your views on it.

It says it's for developer and their friends however I doubt for I my account value is now 0.011 SBD amounting to nearly $2.11 within one week of opening account and really not putting significant effort and just posting and upvoting some posts I saw in tending and hot spaces.
Seems every good intention has a critique. I will leave it to you to let me beleive one way or another based on how far I get into understanding this platform.
