A Dream Place

It is a great pleasure to share in this community about the enjoyment that we can feel appreciating the goodness that nature gives us. My country is a Caribbean island of unparalleled natural beauty, you just have to leave the city area and you find beautiful places, many of them show us a wild nature that impresses in a very impressive way.

In this, my first publication I want to dedicate it to a place that I would love to visit again but that caused such an impact on me that I remember it with great clarity, something that makes me feel great wellbeing.

A few years ago I visited La Sierra Maestra, this is a mountain range located in the eastern part of Cuba, in this area there are several campgrounds among which is La Sierrita which is a campground located at the entrance of the Sierra Maestra Natural Park, this is a popular option for those seeking to enjoy nature and the outdoors in Cuba.

Visitors to La Sierrita Campground can explore the beautiful landscapes of the region and perform numerous outdoor activities, such as hiking, bird watching, in this environment it is possible to see birds such as the tocororo (the national bird of Cuba), the zunzuncito (the smallest bird in the world) and the royal woodpecker, among others. In addition, the proximity to rivers and waterfalls allows visitors to enjoy refreshing baths in crystal-clear waters.

Camping La Sierrita offers its visitors the opportunity to camp and connect with nature while enjoying the beauty and biodiversity of the Sierra Maestra in a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, which makes it an ideal place for families and groups of friends.

One of the excursions that we enjoyed the most was climbing the Pico Turquino, it is a very popular excursion for lovers of hiking and ecotourism, the Pico Turquino is the highest point of the Sierra Maestra and also of all Cuba, its height is approximately 1,974 meters, the experience is challenging but rewarding because from its summit you can appreciate an incomparable panoramic view, which more than rewards the effort.
