la Boca [ENG-SPA]
Good morning everyone, have a happy Sunday.
La Boca was, at the time, a port area where many immigrants coming from Europe ventured at the beginning of the 20th century. In which I can name my grandfather among one of them. He, like many others, earned his living, in his youth, as a Laborer to save some money and start his own business.
Today I decided to visit this place where one of my ancestors worked, as a tourist and discover things to record with my camera and my cell phone.
La Boca today is a place where thousands of tourists come to visit every day. Walking through these cobbled streets is like walking through history, its small metal houses full of color and art. A place full of color and nostalgia, where music is combined, between Tango and Rock and Roll, in a barbecue atmosphere where the typical Argentine barbecue can be breathed in the air as you walk.
I decided with my partner to walk around the place along the stream to the Nicolás Avellaneda Bridge (orange in the photo) which is parallel to the Boca Bridge. This bridge is next to the highway and everything vibrates when trucks pass by. The good thing about going up to this bridge is that it has escalators so it was not a problem. Once up I was able to take photos of the Boca bridge. Quite an experience as a tourist.
To finish my tour I decided to go for a snack at "La Perla", a Bar-Café that has been there since 1882, a cafe where many celebrities have visited throughout its history, which I was able to enjoy with my partner.
I hope you enjoy the photos, as I enjoyed the tour.

In this post I only put photos from my cell phone
