Pokemon Fan Art - Charmander

I hope you are very well.

A few days ago I was a little nostalgic having some memories of my childhood, and I thought of making an illustration based on one of my favorite series of that time hehehe, Pokemon :D .

I based this on a semi-realistic cartoon illustration of Charmander (my favorite pokemon, including his evolutions), in the reference image this little guy has a Charizard suit, I thought it was so cute, so without thinking I was inspired by it.
As I wanted to make a human version of the Pokemon, I had to choose a model, which caught my attention for her beauty and tender face .

Espero que estén muy bien.

Hace unos días estaba un poco nostálgica teniendo algunos recuerdos de mi infancia, y se me ocurrió hacer una ilustración basada en una de mis series favoritas de esa época jejeje, Pokemon :D .
Me basé en una ilustración semirealista / cartoon de Charmander (mi pokemon favorito, incluyendo sus evoluciones), en la imagen de referencia este pequeño tiene un traje de Charizard, me pareció tan lindo, así que sin pensarlo me inspiré en él.
Como quería hacer una versión humana del Pokemon, tuve que elegir una modelo, que me llamó la atención por su belleza y su tierna cara.

As every drawing, I started with the sketch of this one. I made the base with a fuchsia color and chose a brush that simulates the "HB" pencil, then I was forming his face and clothes with a navy blue color and "8B" pencil, and for his hood and wings I chose a red. Once I had a base of what I wanted, I made the outline.

Como todo dibujo, comencé con el boceto de este. Hice la base con un color fucsia y elegí un pincel que simula el lápiz "HB", luego fui formando su cara y ropa con un color azul marino y lápiz "8B", y para su capucha y alas elegí un rojo. Una vez que tuve una base de lo que quería, hice el delineado.

I continued with the skin, applying a nude tone as a base, and then shadows and highlights to see how the face looked. I did all this with a marker, and blended all the shades.

Continué con la piel, aplicando un tono nude como base, y luego sombras e iluminaciones para ver cómo quedaba el rostro. Todo esto lo hice con un rotulador, y difuminé todos los tonos.

Then on the iris, I used a medium shade of blue as a base, following with different shades of blue and lime green, to give a nice effect to your look, with white for the shimmer. For the mouth, I used the colors: scarlet red (for the base), vanilla, wine, brown, old pink, black, orange and a touch of yellow, mixing all of them, and adding some again to play more with the volume of your lips.

Luego en el iris, utilicé un tono medio de azul como base, siguiendo con diferentes tonos de azul y verde lima, para dar un bonito efecto a tu mirada, con el blanco para el brillo. Para la boca, utilicé los colores: rojo escarlata (para la base), vainilla, vino, marrón, rosa viejo, negro, naranja y un toque de amarillo, mezclando todos ellos, y añadiendo algunos de nuevo para jugar más con el volumen de tus labios.

My next step was to do her hair, using warm tones and a soft opacity brush. If you notice, I work in sections and give at once all the details I want at the moment. To finish this little character, I made his clothes, first I started with the blue part of his wings and then with the rest of the clothes, for which I used orange as a base color, and the rest were: red, brown, purple, yellow, and for shadows I used black.

Mi siguiente paso fue hacer su pelo, utilizando tonos cálidos y un pincel de opacidad suave. Si lo notan, trabajo por secciones y doy a la vez todos los detalles que quiero en ese momento. Para terminar este pequeño personaje, hice su ropa, primero empecé con la parte azul de sus alas y luego con el resto de la ropa, para la que utilicé el naranja como color base, y el resto fueron: rojo, marrón, morado, amarillo, y para las sombras utilicé el negro.

Once I had all this, I gave some final details to her face, like the eyelashes, a little bit of eye makeup. And I added more shadows and lighting, I felt she was missing that touch to improve. For the background I used a dark purple tone and a touch of lilac spray, and added some flames in a layer with overexposure of the color, and with a mottled brush I gave some details with orange.

Una vez que tuve todo esto, le di algunos detalles finales a su cara, como las pestañas, un poco de maquillaje de ojos. Y añadí más sombras e iluminación, sentía que le faltaba ese toque para mejorar. Para el fondo utilicé un tono morado oscuro y un toque de spray lila, y añadí unas llamas en una capa con sobreexposición del color, y con un pincel moteado di algunos detalles con naranja.

Finishing this way my human version of Charmander :D I hope you liked it, I loved it, it looks super cute.
