Hello to all my friends and readers of this wonderful Steemit community



Today, with a different content than usual, I will talk a little about the importance of food for humans, the importance of having a balanced diet and what happens in malnutrition.

What are the foods?

Foods are all types of components or substances that humans ingest to receive a certain amount of nutrients and to be able to live. All human beings have the need to eat food is an essential part of life from birth to death because thanks to them our organs can stay healthy and also give us energy to do physical activities.

WHY DO WE NEED NUTRIENTS?

We already know that our body gets nutrients through food, but what do we do with them?

Any vital activity needs nutrients and the most common are basically these:

Breathe, think, walk, sleep, chew.

The great importance of eating

The importance of food has basically to do with the act of supplying people and also other living beings like plants and animals with the energy and nutrients necessary to continue living. By logic a person who is not properly fed can suffer from severe cases of malnutrition, malnutrition and all diseases and even death. On the other hand the food in the case of human beings also gains another dimension that is one that is related to the senses, with pleasure and even with social issues that exceed the nutritional value of each food and that they have on a plate or a preparation with much more value than commonly a living being can ingest to its organism. Thus a human being can associate a dish or a particular food with happy moments of his life.

Balanced feeding

The best way to have a nutritious and balanced diet is to distribute the fed as follows:

Proteins 12 to 15%

Carbohydrates 55 to 60%

Lipids 25 to 30%.


By fulfilling this distribution, it offers us to maintain good health, promotes growth and development throughout our lives and helps us to prevent diseases that occur when overeating.

In conclusion ...


In conclusion, from childhood it is important to create a food habit that helps us develop in a healthy way, so that it provides the necessary nutrients for the body in the quantity and quality required. So that by having a balanced diet we would avoid many diseases generated by poor diet and overweight.
The feeding has a great importance so that our body can function correctly and have good health.
