Playa del Carmen has a small seaweed problem...

At this point in Playa del Carmen, you can't even see the sand anymore... the seaweed is meters high on the beach! What i saw from the pier, the rest of the beach looks relatively normal, at least the people are in the sand and sunbathing. But in this bay, which by the way is right in front of our apartment, the seaweed is just piling up! Of course you can imagine that the scent in this area isn't the best either...we smell the seaweed in the morning when we get up and in the afternoon when the sun really hits it, the stench doesn't get any better (rotten eggs🥴)well we can't do anything...i hope the sea isn't that dirty in the other parts of the beach and i hope we don't have to endure this smell for too long! I will report....
