What a busy and enjoy day - Newroz Pîroz be🌺 (eng-tr)

Hello dear friends,

March 21 is a very important day for me. Today is Nowruz, the date when the beginning of spring is celebrated. I celebreted your Newroz with Kurdish words in title :) I couldn't attend the celebrations because I was busy. I followed the events on social media. Everyone looked very happy. I wanted to share this photo with you. This dress is the local dress of the Kurds. We prefer these dresses, especially at weddings. This photo of mine is from a wedding from last summer. I miss doing halay (Kurdish dance) with these clothes :) I will tell you about these clothes in another post. I am sure you will like it very much.

21 Mart tarihi benim için çok önemli birgün. Bugün Nevruz yani baharın başlangıcının kutlandığı tarih. Nevrozunuzu Kürtçe kutlamak istedim. Yoğun olduğum için kutlamalara katılamadım. Düzenlenen eğlenceleri sosyal medyadan takip ettim. Herkes çok mutlu görünüyordu. Bende sizler için bu fotoğrafımı paylaşmak istedim. Bu kıyafet Kürtlerin yöresel kıyafeti. Özellikle düğünlerde bu kıyafetleri tercih ediyoruz. Bu fotoğrafım da geçen yazdan kalma bir düğünden. Bu kıyafetlerle halay çekmeyi özledim :) Başka bir postta size bu kıyafetleri anlatacağım. Eminim çok beğeneceksiniz.

Now I want to start telling you what I did yesterday. Yesterday was very busy but enjoyable. I woke up early in the morning and went to the ophthalmologist. The doctors of this hospital are very good. That's why I chose this hospital. I can't see far (myopic) and I have to wear glasses. That's what my eye doctor said too. After the examination, he wrote me a prescription for glasses.

Şimdi dün neler yaptım onu anlatmaya başlamak istiyorum. Dün çok yoğun ama keyifliydi. Sabah erken uyanıp göz doktoruna gittim. Bu hastanenin doktorları çok iyi. O yüzden burayı tercih ettim. Uzağı göremiyorum ve gözlük takmam şart. Bunu göz doktorum da söyledi. Muayene olduktan sonra bana gözlük reçetesi yazdı.

My ophthalmologist sprayed a drop in my eye and this prevented me from seeing clearly for several hours. So I went to my uncle's company near the hospital. There is a stove in the production part of the factory. I got a little hot there. Since it's a packaging factory, it's dangerous to have a stove there, but the employees are paying attention. Little guests greeted me in the garden of the workplace. I love these cats. When I come, I stay with them for a while.

Göz doktorum muayene için gözüme bir damla sıktı ve bu net görmeme engel oldu birkaç saat. Ben de hastanenin yakınında amcamın iş yerine gittim. İş yerinin üretim kısmında soba var. Biraz orda ısındım. Orası bir karton fabrikası olduğu için sobanın orada olması tehlikeli ama çalışanlar dikkat ediyorlar. İş yerinin bahçesinde ise küçük misafirler karşıladı beni. Bu kedileri çok seviyorum. Her geldiğimde yanlarında kalıyorum bir süre.

Before I left there, I went to the optician. I gave the doctor's prescription to the optician and I tried to find a model. I will have my glasses today. Do you like my glasses? After leaving the optician, I started waiting for a taxi. I had to go to my another uncle's company. My uncle's foreign guests had come and he called me. So I had to go by taxi. One of the biggest problems of Istanbul is taxi. Taxi drivers do not accept short distances. Isn't that silly? After waiting for about ten minutes, a taxi came and I quickly went to my uncle's workplace.

Oradan ayrılmadan önce gözlükçüye gittim. Doktorun verdiği reçeteyi gözlükçüye verdim ve bir model beğendim. Gözlüğüm bugün elimde olacak. Gözlüğümü beğendiniz mi? Gözlükçüden çıktıktan sonra taksi beklemeye başladım. Dayımın iş yerine gitmem gerekiyordu. dayımın yabancı misafirleri gelmişti ve beni çağırdı. O yüzden taksiyle gitmem gerekiyordu. İstanbul'un en büyük problemlerinden biri taksi. Taksi şoförleri kısa mesafeleri kabul etmiyorlar. Ne saçma değil mi? Yaklaşık on dakika bekledikten sonra bir taksi geldi ve hızlıca dayımın iş yerine geçtim.

When I arrived at my uncle's company, the guests had already arrived. After chatting with them for a while, we went out for dinner. We went to the cafe we always go to. The first photo is the outside of the cafe. In the next two photos, there are images of the cafe's decor. I guess they like chocolates and toy cars. And finally our food arrived. Since our guest came from Tunisia, we wanted to welcome him well. We wanted to give him a kebab-style presentation and he liked it very much.

Dayımın iş yerine geldiğimde misafirler çoktan gelmişti. Onlarla biraz sohbet ettikten sonra dışarı yemek yemeğe çıktık. Her zaman gittiğimiz kafeye gittik. İlk fotoğraf kafenin dıştan görünümü. Ondan sonraki iki fotoğrafta da kafenin dekoru ile ilgili görseller var. Çikolataları ve oyuncak arabaları seviyorlar sanırım. Ve sonunda yemeğimiz geldi. Misafirimiz Tunus'tan geldiği için onu iyi ağırlamak istedik. Ona kebap tarzı bir sunum yapmak istedik ve çok beğendi.

After they left, my uncle and I were left alone. My uncle had a few jobs, so I started writing my thesis at that time. I focused on writing my thesis for about 3 hours. It has been very productive for me. I have to work at least 5 hours every day to finish the thesis normally. While I was writing the thesis, I drank tea, drank plenty of water, and finally drank salep. It was a pleasant day.

Onlar gittikten sonra ben ve dayım yalnız kaldık. Dayımın birkaç işi vardı ben de o sırada tezimi yazmaya başladım. Yaklaşık 3 saat boyunca tezimi yazmaya odaklandım. Benim için çok verimli geçti. Her gün en az 5 saat çalışmam gerekiyor tezi bitirmek için. Tez yazarken arada çay içtim, bol su içtim ve en sonda da sahlep içtim. Keyifli bir gündü.

My friend gave me 4 books. I'll return the books to her after I've read them all. I started Milan Kundera's "Slowness" book last night. I will talk about these books in another post.

Arkadaşım bana 4 kitap verdi. Hepsini okuduktan sonra kitapları ona geri vereceğim. Dün akşam Milan Kundera'nın "Yavaşlık" kitabına başladım. Başka bir postta bu kitaplardan bahsedeceğim.
