Every skin type reacts differently to each skin ingredient, Commercial products made for the entire population may not really be the best bet for your Skin type.

This is why adequate knowledge and knowing your unique skin type is extremely essential for your skin care
There's no gainsaying on the emphasis of knowing your own skin type

1. NORMAL SKIN
   Features include;
   • Not too oily nor too dry
   • It has balanced sebum production and good blood circulation
   • Has Barely visible pores
   • A radiant complexion
   • Smooth texture
   • No breakouts

1. OILY SKIN
   Features include;
   • Characterized by greasy appearance
   •Prone to acne breakouts
   • Oily skin is the result of excess sebum production
   • Enlarged pores
   • May have black heads, pimples, or other blemishes

1. DRY SKIN
   Features include;

• Determined by a rough and flaky texture
• It can at times feel tight and cause irritation
• More visible lines
• Less elastic skin
• Almost invisible pores

1. COMBINATION SKIN
   Features Include;

• A mix of oily skin and dry skin
• In combination skin types,The T Zone is oily and the cheeks are dry
• The T zone includes; nose, forehead and Chin
•Appearance of Black heads, Shiny skin
• Pores look larger than normal because they are more open

1. SENSITIVE SKIN

• If your skin flushes with spicy foods and adversely react to new products, You likely have a SENSITIVE SKIN

Features include;
• Itching, Burning, Redness and Dryness

TECHNIQUES TO DETERMINE YOUR SKIN TYPE

A) THE BLOTTING SHEET METHOD
Take a sheet of blotting paper and gently pat it on your face.
Hold it against a bright light
If you see little to no oil, You have a DRY SKIN
If the sheet picks up some oil from the T Zone ( Forehead to nose) ,You have a COMBINATION/ NORMAL SKIN
If it picks up oil from all parts of your face, You have an OILY SKIN

B) THE BARE- FACED METHOD

Cleanse your skin with a mild cleanser and pat dry gently
Leave it bare ( without applying any product) for half an hour, and then check your cheeks,nose, forehead for any shine
After another half an hour, ,notice whether your skin looks parched or any facial movement or smile
If your Skin feels tight, you have a DRY SKIN
while if it's shiny on the nose and Forehead,You have a COMBINATION SKIN
If your cheeks, nose and Forehead appear shiny you have an OILY SKIN
