Entry for the Shadow Contest/SMASh
In the corner of the narrow street, under the rays of the moon sneaking through the trees, the ancient door stood against time. It rose majestically while casting its black shadow on the paved ground. Its dual colors were in harmony, as white maneuvers with black in a context of serene beauty. And in this scene, it is reflected A long history of unknown stories, where the old meets the new in a moment of magic and mystery.
I reached home around 11:00 pm, an unusual hour for me. Unexpected circumstances had led to this late-night excursion. Despite being a man, I felt uneasy walking along my usually deserted street after dark.
The fear stemmed from carrying two expensive phones and some valuables in my pocket. Whenever I spotted someone approaching, I attempted to appear confident, yet beneath the surface, a sense of vulnerability crept through me, tinged with a hint of intimidation.
