False Rape Accusation Should Be An Offence Punishable By Law

A young and soft-spoken young man committed suicide because he was accused of rape. And after his accuser heard of his death, her next tweet showed she was indifferent about it.

In the video which he recorded before committing suicide, he admitted that he had mental illness and had contemplated suicide before. But most times, the feelings of hopelessness get triggered again by a new distress. In his words, he said people did not give him the chance to clear his name. He felt horrible.

I remember when Mrs Philomena Anigbo and her husband accused me theft. I was devastated and contemplated suicide. I did not eat or drink anything for three days. Fortunately for me, my family and my pastor believed me.

I would love to advise everyone to please be careful with how they join people to accuse other people for what you know nothing about. Some people are battling with depression, and certain things could get them completely shattered.

I think men should push for a bill that tackles false rape accusations. No one who accuses anyone falsely should go free.
