A SAFER AGRICULTURAL SYSTEM.

The importance of technology knows no bound as it has proven that it's advantages extend far beyond our expectations. Even with what we've seen currently, there are many technological innovations that are jaw dropping. No matter how much we have seen technology do, there are new innovations that will leave us amazed.

Comparing this age of technological breakthroughs to the age of when we had minimum technological accessories to help with our daily activities, the difference and advancement is very obvious irrespective of the disadvantages it may bring to us.

Before now, it was the dream of many scientists to advance the world to a place where humans can fly, move at a very fast speed, and also, manipulate plants and animals to produce what they want and when they want it. Inarguably, this has been achieved, but then, the world is constantly battling with the disadvantages the achievements brought with it.

Though not many people want to talk about it, probably because of the high importance of technology, one of the major disadvantages of the technology is pollution. Air pollution, water and land pollution.

In he agriculture sector, there are lots of breakthroughs. Maybe this practice has been in existence for a long time, but from a video I saw last week, I heard and saw that there is an Asian country that currently grow a square-shaped watermelon. Here I am, asking myself how they managed to pull off this scientific trick.

The fight between us humans and pests that threatens the survival of our agricultural produce, is one that will probably last a life time. The use of chemicals has been effective in destroying the vampiresque pests. Chemicals are not only used for the purpose of combating pest, but also to make fruits get ripe in a short duration of time which in most cases, the fruits lose some of its important nutrients.

Aside from the aspect of plants, there have been many manipulation in animals too. Today, we see crossbreeding of one animal with another in other to create a new species.

Now, the big question here is; are these chemicals, and crossbreeding doing more harm than good?

Some of the ingredients used in making an insecticide are Pyrethroids, chlorine, copper. These chemicals, (though in small amounts some are good for the body), can cause quite a large number of harm to the body including nerve issues, nausea, stomach ache, vomit and ultimately, loss of consciousness and even death.
