That Logo
It all started as a suggestion from my friend @brittandjosie. She asked me to make a polymer clay hive logo. I was thinking initially of creating just a character with our logo. But in the process, I went too far and ended up with these projects.
To make the bear charms, I started with this.
For the bear with a black hive logo, I started with this.
I wanted my bear to have a bit of personality so I made it look like this.
To make the biscuit car, I started with a brown clay, and made this with my cookie cutter.
Create the biscuit detail. The cream filling would have been a liquid clay but because I making a "car," I needed all the structure and support I can get. I used a solid white clay to get the cream filling and support I needed.
Start building the car. I intended the car to be a tiny one but realized, if I wanted a bear riding it, I need to make it bigger- something I am comfortable to be adding my own twists and details.
Here is the bottom structure of the car. From here, it was easy to add whatever details I wanted.
The bear is supposed to be a "toasted" marshmallow but I went so far....not that I regret doing that. I just shaved some pastels and, applied it on the bear.
Done.
