Just Updated My Google Analytics Certification

It's been something i've been putting off since i don't take on clients anymore. The previous one expired last year and i was a little apprehensive about the whole move to the 'Academy of Ads' nonsense.

If you're looking to get into the digital marketing field, i suppose the GAIQ along with the doubleclick ads certification are the important ones to get from Google. There's also YouTube marketing and a bunch of other certs you can get just to pad the profile. I don't think they're necessary and your time would be better spent getting the HubSpot and Facebook certs.

I found the test easier this time because the questions were structured more clearly. I remember the old test required some mind-reading abilities. Unlike the Google Developer certs which i think are a little valuable, the Academy of Ads ones are basically checking that you have a pulse.

Will try to do a few more tomorrow if the kids cooperate. I feel there's opportunity in the HK market when it comes to ad analytics and digital ad spending.
