Welcome new Subscribers. This channel is like none other, but at the same time, it’s like every other channel ever created since channels became a thing to create. Read the description. I can’t even remember what I wrote. If there’s a Substack protocol for such things, we don’t comply. Not out of rebellion. We just don’t bother to read the directions. We jump into the pool without knowing how to swim.
Here’s the main bit of information you should know about Noxsoma’s Full Metal Ox Substack.
We generate a lot of content. There’s a long running, (since 2021) daily video series. As in, every day. We don’t post the videos on Substack, but we do post a link to the daily show. There are two other videos series that will also Not be, delivered directly to your inbox.
The daily articles promote the video. When you subscribe, these will come into your inbox daily. If you are sensitive about these types of deliveries, maybe this channel is not for you. (If you follow, you can probably get some content, like notes and stuff. We drop a goodly amount of those as well.)
We also share a daily cartoon strip. It’s already completed, and already scheduled through the end of this Summer, so there will be no interruptions at least until September. There’s an archive. The entire series is “un-paywalled,” (that’s Substack-speak for “free.”) So feel free to catch up. There are not so subtle allusions to 15-years ago culture. Any future predictions made in this series is purely coincidental. (Maybe.)
There are audio-only podcasts of what we alternately call, “Street lectures,” or “Stand-up Philosophy” which were recorded live while walking down the side streets, in the parks and alleys of our western Miami suburb. They are reflections of a life in progress, observing a world experiencing a cultural collision. Disclaimer: within these bits there is incorrect information, opinions that have changed, origins that have been uncovered, and perspectives that you might disagree with. Just sayin’. The envity that recorded these recordings no longer exists. Keep that in mind as you suck your teeth and roll your eyes at this, “dangerous content.” Enlightenment happens daily, with the light. Keep in mind what the words we use actually mean. Or, were meant to convey when they were minted. Humans like to say stuff like, “Words have meaning,” but often don’t bother to investigate what those meanings actually are.
Finally, your humble vagabond wordsmith identifies as a cynical sarcastic smart-ass. If you’ve gotten this far, you’ve figured that out. Congratulations. Take a free subscription home with you.
