Twisters is an upcoming American disaster film directed by Lee Isaac Chung. It serves as a standalone sequel to the 1996 film Twister and is scheduled for release on July 19, 2024. The film features Daisy Edgar-Jones as Kate Cooper, a former storm chaser turned screen-based storm pattern analyst in New York City. Drawn back to the open plains by her friend Javi (portrayed by Anthony Ramos), Kate embarks on testing a revolutionary new tracking system. Alongside her, the cast includes Glen Powell as Tyler Owens, a charismatic and daring social-media influencer known for documenting his storm-chasing escapades.
