Baby Badgers Play on Their Own as Mother Drags Dry Leaves Into Sett
When the badger mother took her babies out for the first time, they mostly stuck around nearby. On the next night out, she left them to play on their own, while she worked hard by dragging dry leaves into the sett for added comfort.
The baby badgers already seem surer on their feet, and are slowly but surely getting more playful. Like many baby animals, they look for things sticking out so they can take them into their mouth and yank on them. In their case, the most readily available things to chew on are siblings’ tails.
Toward the end of the video, it got obvious that the female is really tired after giving birth and taking care of the restless trio, but as she laid down on the ground, the full of life little badgers kept playing around until she was forced to arise.
