Smiley Vixen on Alert as Harrowing Distress Call Rings Through Forest at Night
While Smiley Vixen lives it up in her new den, the area sure is never dull. Recently, an unidentified animal made a harrowing distress call that rang through the part of the forest like a horror movie recording.
The distress call caught the Smiley Vixen’s attention who was forced to stay outside of her den in order to monitor what was happening. She wanted to go in and hide, but felt it’s more important to stay out and watch what’s happening so she’s in the know on possible dangers.
Another fox got attracted by the distress call as well and watched the scene unfold. Unfortunately, despite having two trail cameras in the area, whatever was making the call was outside of both their views. Thus all I have is the harrowing audio, without the video to tell us more.
I have also included an older footage of the Smiley Vixen defending her den from an unseen challenger who also remained off the camera’s view. Smiley Vixen is the cutest animal in the woods, but she knows how to show her teeth when needed and does not readily run from danger.
If you can cast some light as to what animal was making the cries and why it was making it, please share your thoughts in the comment.
