My Actifit Report Card: March 2 2019
Hello fellow Steemians :)
Today's activity was parkour. I haven't done any since I last posted, so it's been a little while. Unfortunately, parkour is one of those things you need to do very consistently to improve, so today was more about endurance training and exercise than really pushing any parkour skills.
A ton of what I did today was jumping, precision jumps to be precise. The area we trained at had a nice brick sort of tiered area. I practiced both jumping up and jumping down, focusing on landing on particular bricks. It was pretty tiring after awhile, but I pushed it until my abs got to the point that I knew doing more would be risking being way too sore tomorrow.
After that, we found an interesting little structure, which I will have to go back and get a picture of later. It was basically just a bunch of bars, at different heights. I did some pullups, because I try to take opportunities for that wherever they present themselves. We also did a lot of underbar and lache training, trying to swing for distance. I definitely need to work on that, and also on muscle ups. If anyone has some advice, I'd really appreciate it.
We finished off the training session with a game of bear crawl tag. That was so much more exhausting than I had thought it would be. I was out of breath almost the entire time, but that's the nice thing about tag is that the chase gives you that extra boost of energy.
Overall, a nice, relaxed training session. I had a lot of fun. I also found some cool murals, and an interesting mushroom.
I have no idea what this is about, but it was a cool recreation of the magazine cover.
There's a chance I've taken this photo before, I'll have to check through my gallery, but it is such a striking work of art I wanted to make sure I had it. I love the colors.
I have no idea what kind of mushroom this is, but it seems to have unfortunately killed the tree.
It is huge though!
That's all for pictures. I'm going to hopefully do some more parkour this week, if I'm feeling up to it. Fingers crossed.
Until next time,
Namaste
