More Blind Love

They put me in prison because I killed you.
Your whole family, I hacked them up too.
I guess I knew that they would catch me.
But I couldn’t stop the saw from hacking you.

Now I’m in prison, sitting alone in my cell.
Thinking that I’m going to prison or die.
Wondering what I’m going to do.
I’m out of my mind, all because of you.

My lawyer says that I can plead insanity
We’ll just say it was only temporarily.
After everything that you have put me through.
The jury might just believe that it’s true.

The trial began and the jurors were so sad.
Especially when they saw the bloody pictures.
Legs were on the couch, arms in the chair
The worst was your heart, found in my pocket.

Even after I killed you I wanted your love.
I took your heart so it would forever be mine.
I told them all that I was so sorry for what I did.
But I couldn’t stop swinging the hacksaw one bit.

When the jury came back and said I was crazy.
That I would have to go away to a loony bin.
They said I have to be in for a minimum 10 years.
Probably my attitude would have time to adjust.

I deserve to be put away for the rest of my life,
But the lawyers were good and changed their minds.
So now, while you are laying dead in your grave.
I will be smiling and looking for someone to love.

Howdy y’all. It’s me, ninong7 aka UJ aka John. Just a short intro about myself. I am a Texan that has retired in the Philippines. I moved to the Philippines with my wife back in May 2010. I am retired from the US Air Force. The music I like is mostly Classic Country and Classic Rock. I guess you could say that I am “Classic”. I play dominoes when I can find someone that will play, I play chess, cribbage, spades, hearts, Empire Builder, Rail Baron, Acquire and a few other games. I like to write poems and stories (although pretty novice) and I love learning about history, just about any history. I’m at home on my computer a lot but if I could afford to, I’d be traveling and documenting my travels to post in my blog. I hope to get to know a lot of you through PeakD and Discord.
