Limericks

Days and nights pass so slowly.
We're together you and me.
We've been together,
Seems like forever.
When are you setting me free?

You only ask for money.
I'd like to have some honey.
No dollars for you
until you come through
In making my life sunny.

You're sick and you don't rebound.
Then they put you in the ground.
You think it's the end.
You're re-born instead.
Time for another go round.

Daily trips the ferry makes.
Through the waves it twists and shakes.
Some enjoy the view.
Others want to spew.
There's no way to hit the brakes.

Some people use a big mug.
People like me use a jug.
Filled up to the seam.
Just add in some cream.
Drink coffee, the wakeup drug.

Bonus poem. I asked one of my Filipina nieces to write a poem for me, in English. This is what she came up with. Yeah, there are obvious grammar and punctuation errors, but I left it as she wrote it except for a couple of extra spaces.

One day! I met a man,
Told me, he is my fun when I'm young,
Asked me, if he could be my man,
Tell him, you will be my husband someday.

Howdy y’all. It’s me, ninong7 aka UJ aka John. Just a short intro about myself. I am a Texan that has retired in the Philippines. I moved to the Philippines with my wife back in May 2010. I am retired from the US Air Force. The music I like is mostly Classic Country and Classic Rock. I guess you could say that I am “Classic”. I play dominoes when I can find someone that will play, I play chess, cribbage, spades, hearts, Empire Builder, Rail Baron, Acquire and a few other games. I like to write poems and stories (although pretty novice) and I love learning about history, just about any history. I’m at home on my computer a lot but if I could afford to, I’d be traveling and documenting my travels to post in my blog. I hope to get to know a lot of you through PeakD and Discord.
